We're on our way to the ESWC, a software conference, this year held in Cologne. Let's see if we came close to winning the Epsilon award. But that's not the main reason of course. Software conferences are a great way to reconnect with our colleagues and peers and learn about the new developments (and old stuff that simply needs to be refreshed from time to time)

IsoBuster has been nominated for the Epsilon award.

As you will notice, a new website was created, and released today. Not only is the "caped crusader" back, this site now also features a multi-language interface. Easily switch to Spanish or Italian or... Mind you, translations are still very much ongoing. A never ending job.

French magazine "PCUPDATE" tested IsoBuster and compared it to its competitors. After the test IsoBuster was elected "Best CD and DVD Data recovery software" and it got the editor's choice award.

The Spanish translation is now final, both dll and help file have been finalized. The Italian dll has been updated as well.

IsoBuster, the caped crusader and hopefully soon mascot of the software IsoBuster, is well known for its CD and DVD Data recovery capabilities, but he is rarely seen. We're proud to be able to show you a secretly taken snapshot while he was thinking about a new strategy.

Happy Easter! Enjoy the long weekend.

For some time now all major players in the optical industry have been working on the successor of DVD. Indeed, a new disc type with more capacity, about 25 GB per layer as opposed to the 4.5 GB per layer for DVDs. Similarly as with DVD there are again two camps and unfortunately two competing disc formats.

The Norwegian dll has been updated to the latest version, downloadable from the language dll update page. The Italian help file has been updated as well and more sections have been translated.

After the last big translation action a couple of languages stayed unfinished. To renew interest other than after a new version release we would like to ask people if they are willing to complete a couple of the translations.

March 2, 2006

A new section has been added to the website. Tips and Tricks. In this section certain aspects of IsoBuster will be explained in more detail from time to time in "How To" style.

February 24, 2006
